Legwarmers *Simba*

This is a similar pattern to the bootcuffs, but here the pattern continues into adding a ribbed cuff on top.

Wool choice.

I love using Merino extrafine, it's a medium/4 with a 5mm crochet hook.

Starting notes:

DC = 2 chains

SC = 1 chain

Chain at the beginning of each round counts as first stitch unless otherwise stated.

Every round will be joined by a slip stitch.

Pattern is worked in the round. No turning needed.

Extra information about the pattern:

The size in the pattern is for adults. If you want to make this legwarmer in a different size:
- for the pattern you have to use a multiple of 8 +1.
- For the ribbing you have to use a multiple of 3.

For example chain 48 works for an adult, chain 24 for a child works to for the entire pattern.
You can use another multiple of 8, but for the ribbing the count won't end with 2 FPDC and 1 BPDC.
That's okay :) Stick to a multiple of 8 to make the pattern work though!

Legwarmers are worked from bottom to top.

Let's get started!

Chain 48 or until it fit's your leg.
Make sure to use multiples of 8!

Bottom Ribbing

Round 1: CH 1, 1 SC in the bottom loop of every chain
(not the back loop) (48)

Round 2: CH 3, 1 DC in every SC (48)

Round 3: CH 2 (does not cound as stitch)  *FPDC, FPDC, BPDC in the next 3 stitches*, repeat ** till end of round. (48)

Round 4 - 5 - 6 (as few or many as you like for your ribbing): CH 2 (does not count as stitch), 1 FPDC in the same stitch, FPDC in all FPDC, BPDC in all BPDC from previous round (48)

Pattern:

Round 7 - 8: CH 1, 1 SC in back loop of every stitch from the previous round.

Round 9: CH 5 (counts as DC + CH3); skip 3 *SC in the 4th st, skip 3, CH3, DC in the 4th st, skip 3, CH3*
Repeat ** around.

Round 10: CH 3 (counts as DC + CH1); *SC in 2nd CH (the middle stitch of the CH3 from previous round) CH 3, SC in 2nd CH, CH 1, DC in DC from previous round, CH 1*.
Repeat ** around.

Round 11: CH 2 (counts as 1st DC); *7 DC around the CH3 space from previous round, DC in DC from previous round.*

Example: 5 rows of 10-12 are 11" long.
